CSV Splitter
Split a CSV by row count or by the value in a column. Preserve headers, quoted commas and multiline cells, then download each part separately.
How to use this tool
- Paste or load a CSV with headers.
- Set the rows per part, or choose a grouping column.
- Download each generated part.
A worked example
Input
5 contact rows · 2 rows per part
Output
Part 1: 2 rows Part 2: 2 rows Part 3: 1 row
Every output file includes the original header, which does not count toward the requested data rows per part.
What the result means
Each part keeps the source headers. Group by a column when you need one file per segment; split by row count when an import tool has a batch limit.
Up to 10,000 source rows and 100 output files. Files are generated locally. Very large files need a dedicated desktop workflow.
Frequently asked questions
Do the output files keep headers and quoted cells?
Yes. Each part includes the source header. Quoted commas, multiline cells and non-English characters are parsed and exported as CSV rather than split as raw text lines.
Can I split by country, company or another column?
Yes. Choose a grouping column from the parsed headers. Each unique column value produces a separate file, including a group for empty values. A maximum of 100 files is allowed per run.
Is this free, and are my inputs uploaded?
Use this tool without an account, subscription or credits. Processing and file exports run in your browser; the tool does not upload your inputs or send emails. Clear inputs to remove the current data. Inputs are not saved when you reload the page.
