A worked example
Input
Job titles: Founder, CEO · Location: London
Output
site:linkedin.com/in/ ("Founder" OR "CEO") "London"Alternative titles use OR. The location is an additional condition; the site filter limits the web query to profile URLs.
What the result means
Use the LinkedIn version in a people-search keyword field. Google and Bing versions search public profile pages; review the profile and company before adding a prospect.
Search engines only show publicly indexed profiles. LinkedIn supports its own Boolean rules and may restrict complex searches; this tool does not bypass access limits.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Boolean and X-ray search?
Boolean combines terms with operators such as AND, OR and NOT inside LinkedIn. X-ray uses a web search engine with a site filter to find publicly indexed LinkedIn pages. The tool generates separate versions.
Why do I get few or no matching profiles?
Required terms narrow the search. Try removing a skill, using a broader location or adding a title synonym. Search engines do not index every profile, and LinkedIn may limit complex queries.
Is this free, and are my inputs uploaded?
